Crafts You Can Make With Your Pet’s Paw Print

It’s always important to make your pet feel like they’re part of the family. Just like you would with a child, you should build bonding activities with your pet. Keep memories of them as they grow so you can look back on life with them. We’ve found four of our favorite crafts to do with our furry friends that we want to share with you. Check them out below and pick one to do this month!

Wall Arts

With Paw Print Pad, we give you the first step for making some cool art with your pet’s paw print. We offer mess-free ink pads that your pet can set on and create a clean and clear print of their paw. You can always simply frame our pads, but if you’re looking for something bigger to display, you can always use other crafting materials. You can use any type of cardstock, framed paper, or any material that ink can go on so you can have a quality print of your pet’s paw. Once you have your print, you can write your pet’s name in a cool font and frame it in any stylish frame.

Paintings

If you’re willing to get a little messy, you can always make fun paintings with your pet. Use some non-toxic hand paint for kids and help your pet to step onto the craft paper wherever you want to make the design. You can create many different art pieces that you can display. You’ll love what can be made from simple pet paws. It’ll remind you of having your kids bring home their first art piece. Create animal scenes, holiday designs, floral patterns, and more!

Salt Dough Decal

This is one of the easiest ways to create some “clay-like” décor pieces in your home with your pet’s paw print embossed into it. First, you’ll have to make a quick salt dough. To do this, mix hot water, salt and flour. Kneed it in your hands until it forms a dough ball. Add some flour if it’s too sticky. Then, roll the dough until it is about ¼ to ½ inches thick and use cups to cut out circular shapes. Have your pet step deep into the circular cut dough and bake them at 225 degrees F for 2-3 hours until dried out. You can leave it as is or paint and decorate it!

Ornaments

To make some cool ornaments, all you have to do is follow the same instructions as the salt dough to create the ornament base. Before you bake it, use a straw to puncture a hole in the top where you will put your ornament string through. Once it is out of the oven, let it cool, try your string, and decorate it the way you want. Paint it, ad glitter, or decals. It’ll be ready to hang anywhere you want.
